Abstract

The projects aims at bringing together philosophers of language and linguists, both from Brazil and Argentina, in order to understand the semantic structure behind slurs (that constitute an essential part of the so-called hate speech) and its illocutionary structure. The projects emerges from a long-term cooperation between researchers from the CLE-UNICAMP and the Argentinian Society for Philosophical Analysis (SADAF, affiliated to the University of Buenos Aires) concerning issues in metaphysics, analytic philosophy of language and linguistics, and will be carried out as a derivation of the current project supported by FAPESP and developed at the CLE on illocutionary acts in mathematics.
