Abstract

Intelligent displays (LCMs) are widely used in electronic equipment, attending the demand for a friendly interface with users in the most diverse areas. Victor Vision company has been working over the last nine years with the distribution of LCMs and has a large knowledge base about the modules, knowledge that gives the company an international highlight. However, Victor Vision is still very dependent of the manufacturers, these known for having poor support, firmware and tools hotfixs with long waiting period, and a certain disregard for the optimum quality of everything the product can offer. This project proposes the nationalization of LCM technology, aiming the developing of the firmware that is embedded within the LCM MCU. The project has a first part of research and evaluation of the LCM hardware, followed with tests of the basic functions, planning of the firmware architecture, a development and testing cycle, and finally, a quality analysis and project documentation. The reproduction of this product could be a fundamental commercial advantage for Brazil about LCM technology. (AU)
