Abstract

In this project we will investigate two-dimensional exactly solvable models in Statistical Physics. We intend to apply and develop formulations of the quantum inverse scattering method in order to solve vertex models with super-group simetries as well as those based on coupled free-fermion theories. Possible connections between the Braid-Monoid algebra, the scaterring of particles and anti-particles and vertex models with general twisted boundary conditions are going to be explored taking into acount potential applications of these systems in Statistical Mechanics. We will also analise integrability under open boundary conditions in the interesting case of quantum group symmetry. (AU)
