Global Value chain and innovation system: analysis for the aerospace industry

Abstract

This project aims to study the trade competitiveness and the Innovation Systems (IS) in the aerospace industry. In this sense, it will be proposed to observe and to measure IS features, besides considering the governance power in the GVC in the aerospace industry, given the specificities of its supply chain, to proceed with a two-step analysis: (i) an statistical/econometric observation of the relationship of IS and GVC variables, controlled by other characteristics, and (ii) an observational analysis of structures of Innovation Systems of countries that present relevant results in competitive and innovative evolution.
