Annual plan for the application of the ITR 2020 budget related to institutional infrastructure for research

Abstract

The Federal University of ABC (UFABC) currently offers 26 undergraduate courses, two of which are interdisciplinary bachelors, and the other courses of specific areas. There are 12 courses under the responsibility of the Center for Engineering, Modeling and Applied Social Sciences (CECS).The CECS develops interdisciplinary activities in teaching, research and extension at UFABC. The development of such activities is currently carried out by 363 (three hundred and sixty-three) professors linked to different areas, many of whom are accredited in postgraduate courses, all of them with interdisciplinary profile. The CECS research laboratories are managed by the CECS Permanent Research Committee (CPPCECS), which is composed of two representatives from each course at the Center (one full and one substitute). In the first meetings in August and September, 2021, it was decided that the total amount of the RTI should be allocated to the purchase of material for the maintenance of UFABC's Multiuser Experimental Centers (CEMs). The CEMs have sophisticated equipments on both campuses (Santo André and São Bernardo do Campo). This research infrastructure generates a continuous demand for maintenancematerials that make possible the uninterrupted use of the installed equipments by the members of the UFABC community (professors, researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, etc.). ), and by external researchers. This project corresponds to the planning for the use of RTI 2021 (base year 20202), specifically, for the demands raised by the CEMs of UFABC.
