Abstract

The Library of the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (IVR-BIB) has been acting as the Center for Scientific and Technological Information in the aerospace field and related areas, since its foundation in 1950. The IVR-BIB coordinates and reinforces the processing and dissemination system for researchers' information in Brazil and abroad. The IVR-BIB is responsible for the acquisition, custody and maintenance of the publication collections, scientific production at ITA, database management, and many other tasks aiming to meet the teaching and the research needs at ITA and other institutes of the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA). The updating and preservation of the collections are fundamental to maintain the excellence standards at ITA and DCTA. This project is dedicated to the acquisition of: thee AIAA Meeting Papers e-book collection, which is an important and complete source of research on aerospace technology, related subjects and spin-off for many knowledge areas, benefiting directly projects supported by FAPESP, FINEP, CAPES, BNDES, CAPPES and CNPq; a integrated search engine and custody tools for the institutional repository, and server to back-up the ITA's digital collection archive (research data, theses, dissertations, graduation works, technical reports, research reports, technical notes, videos, Scientific articles , etc.).
