Abstract

In spite of extensive research over several decades, the diversity of formulations and scope of microbial products on the market remains limited by the difficulties which this area presents. For agricultural and forest plantations, which shows as great scenarios for biological control, many questions still without answer could be optimized for control of pests by mycopesticides. In addition, the safety of beneficial organisms, understanding of populations of microorganisms occurring in Brazil and in Germany, the development of techniques for the production of non-conventional fungal species and which may have a high potential for use should be studied. For these reasons, a movement between researchers from different area focusing on innovative methods based on international experiences is highly necessary. Understanding each part of the problem is a key for solutions and creative ideas. Based on this scenario, researchers from Brazil and Germany are motivated to study deeply the microbial control of the pests from the Isolation and production to the application of the product in the field. For this, will be applied a research methodology that presents credibility, viability and sustainability, these being the main tools to reach the established objectives in 3 years. Consequently, many groups will benefit through technology transfer. (AU)
