Abstract

This is an institutional and research proposal for the implementation of an applied research center (reference center) in artificial intelligence and data science, located in Fortaleza-CE, at the Federal University of Ceara, with an initial focus on healthcare applications, partnering with a national health insurance company, HAP Vida Assistência Medica Ltda. The following Science and Technology institutions are also partners: Catholic Univeristy of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RIO), Federal Univ. of Piaui, University of Fortaleza. The proposal also counts with the support from FUNCAP (Ceara state research support foundation). The proposed international council is composed of members from New York University, University of Houston, University of Florida, University of Minho (Portugal), and Nankai University (China). (AU)
