Abstract

This proposal has as main objective to expand ecological-environmental-agricultural feasibility studies of stingless bee species as pollinators in strawberry crops treated with pesticides, in order to substantiate Phase 2 Risk Analysis. This study can will be bring important results for the advancement of knowledge in environmental analytics, ecotoxicology, ecology and risk analysis for stingless bees in the Brazilian agricultural environment, as well as it will also be possible to track pesticide drift effects for environment no target. The location of study is the strawberry crops in the southern region of the state of Minas Gerais. Therefore, the tasks to be carried out include: i) Expand the generation of data on the Estimated Environmental Concentration (CAE) of pesticides in environmental matrices relevant to bees, through the QuEChERS sample preparation method, combined with the use of the analytical technique of Liquid Chromatography coupled with a Mass Spectrometer for the analysis of abamectin , difenoconazole, thiamethoxam and imidacloprid pesticides in pollen matrices of strawberry, corn, bean and potato crops; pollen and honey stored in hives; in the biological tissue of the bees; ii) Apply acute and chronic toxicity bioassays of pesticides of interest and their mixtures; iii) Assess the capacity for colonial thermoregulation; iv) Map the use and occupation of land in the bee's range of action through remote imaging, and v). Apply palynological and scanning electron microscopy (MEV) techniques to identify floral preferences to bees and botanical origin of pollen grains. (AU)
