Abstract

Bovine brucellosis is among the zoonoses that have the most sanitary measures for its worldwide control, being therefore originated in 2001, the National Program for the Control and Eradication of Brucellosis and Animal Tuberculosis (PNCEBT), which institutes norms in order to avoid the effects of the bovine disease in Brazilian national territory, referring to socio-economic and public health damages. This project aims to evaluate the comparative efficacy of the RB51 vaccine against brucellosis in rural properties of dairy cows in the state of Minas Gerais, primed and revaccinated, through prevalence and serological status for brucellosis, in addition to periodically monitoring the elimination of the vaccine strain bovine data, through milk and vaginal, uterine and fetal adnexa secretions when there are abortions, also collecting residues from teat cups used in cows after milking, in order to clarify its transmissible importance as a possible fomite, not yet available in the literature. Later, they are cultivated in selective media to isolate the rough vaccine strain and confirmed through molecular techniques, using Multiplex PCR Bruce-ladder. (AU)
