Theoretical Physics of Semiconductor Nanostructures: a) Electronic, optical, and impurity properties of semiconductor nanostructures; b) Electronic, magnetic, and transport properties of magnetic semiconductor nanostructures

Abstract

This project is essentially related to the understanding of : 1) several electronic, optical, and impurity properties of non-magnetic semiconductor nanostructures, and 2) several magnetic, electronic, and transport properties of magnetic semiconductor nanostructures. This project involves collaboration with scientists of several Brazilian and foreign Universities, with some of the cooperation occurring for nearly 15 years, such as the collaboration with the Universidade Federal Fluminense, University of Havana, and Universidad del Valle (Cali, Colombia).
