Abstract

1. The physics of new materials: Photonics, photonic band structures, control of photonic band gap in photonic structures, plasmon polaritons, gap solitons, etc. 2. The physics of semiconducting nanostructures: Electronic, dielectric, optical, excitonic and impurity properties in semiconducting nanostructures; quantum computing: condensed matter systems for quantum computing, Rabi oscillations decoherence, etc; intense laser effects in semiconducting nanostructures.
