Violence against the elderly: intervention based on the construction of games with university students

Abstract

Violence is a multi-causal phenomenon with great magnitude and worldwide transcendence, and can be classified as physical, psychological, sexual, negligence, or financial, having as consequences, damage to development, deprivation of rights or death of individuals or communities. The elderly person is a vulnerable group to this problem. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an educational intervention that will be developed from the construction of games, about rights and violence against the elderly, by and for young university students. A mixed study will be carried out, in which the qualitative and quantitative approaches will be used as a methodological approach. It is intended to carry out this study in interdependent stages, through integrative review, interviews, action research to carry out educational processes with learning games on the subject and assessment of the impact of actions, with vignette cases.
