Abstract

The proposal aims to obtain a substitute for conventional leather, from mango residues. The project to obtain this substitute for conventional leather is in the ideation phase, however, the potential of mango biopolymers for film formation has already been validated. Techniques for separation and extraction of biopolymers, characterization of materials, final product and co-products will be used, as well as innovative technologies such as 3D bioprinting. Validation of the substitute for conventional leather will also be considered. (AU)
