Abstract

This research project is inserted in the context of the permanent objectives of the Nuclear Fuel Center - CECON of IPEN/CNEN-SP, which includes, among others, the development of nuclear fuels for research reactors (MTR- Materials Test Reactor), power reactors (PWR-Pressurized Water Reactor) and for small modular reactors (SMR), as well as uranium targets to be used for the production of Mo99 for nuclear medicine use.In addition to the goals and research developed at CECON, this project aims to attend all the demands for chemical characterization from external researchers and/or graduate students of the Institution. Therefore, the installation and preventive/ maintenance services and of the referred equipment as well as consumable accessories will be essential for the good progress of the scientific research conducted at the Institution (AU)
