Abstract

Based on discussions with producers, researchers and a careful literature review, the objective of this research was defined to determine the ideal profile of amino acids for male and female broiler breeders in the phases of growth and reproduction. The amino acids studied will be lysine (Lys), methionine+cysteine (Met+Cys), threonine (Thr), tryptophan (Trp), valine (Val), isoleucine (Ile) and arginine (Arg). The first phase (i) will consist of investigating the manipulation of the growth of the body, organ, tissues and chemical components of reproductive under different levels of Lys in the diet and the effects on the reproduction phase through allometric and structural equations. The second phase (ii) will define the ideal ratio of the main essential amino acids for males and females of broiler breeders in the growth phase, considering performance variables, body composition and bird health through structural equations. The third phase (iii) will define the ideal ratio of essential amino acids for males in the reproductive phase considering performance, body composition, andrological variables, health, fertility and hatchability through structural equations. The fourth phase (iv) will define the ideal ratio of essential amino acids for females in the reproductive phase, considering variables performance, body composition, health and fertility and hatchability and embryonic mortality through structural equations. At the end, it is expected to make information available to producers about the ideal profile of amino acids for the growth phase of males and females in the growth and reproduction phase. The results will be able to contribute to the advance in the amino acid nutrition of broiler breeders and will reflect in the economic and environmental aspect by allowing better use of food resources.
