Abstract

In 2017, Cerensa decided to change its business strategy and dedicate itself to the development of an ESG Integrated Platform covering the main demands of companies seeking to compete in mature markets, where social and environmental governance is a critical success factor. This platform was developed from 2017 to 2019 to enable monitoring and optimization of the use of natural resources vis a vis high levels of governance. The main suites are: Carbon, Energy, Water & Effluents, Indicators & Governance and Solid Waste. This Proof of Concept aims to use the Climate Change module of the Cerensa Platform to project the GHG emissions of each crop during the harvest planning stages. It is important that these estimates are carried out for each plot, in order to allow the producer to choose the direction of each plantation according to the conditions of the destination market. These estimates must obtain, process and validate in an integrated manner the environmental and production data from 4 farms of SLC Agrícola, a company that has 22 farms totaling more than 650 thousand hectares of agricultural and livestock production in 3 regions of Brazil. Data processing will be through the CERENSA platform, a full-digital and highly scalable solution that integrates systems and areas of companies with the objective of helping them to consistently raise their ESG levels. With this data processing, we aim to help SLC Agrícola measure the environmental traceability of its products using methods consolidated by the IPCC, such as the GHG Protocol. We aim to integrate SLC Agrícola's databases into this PoC with the CERENSA platform, which already has embedded Environmental Protocol solutions. (AU)
