Abstract
The development of a new crope involves several phases, ranging from population generation, selection processes and lineage evaluations. In order to serve a growing and demanding market of food-grade soy consumers, nutritional traits related to seed oil and protein quality, flavor, sugar content and the presence of anti-nutritional factors are relevant. The absence of traits (external genes obtained with techniques used in biotechnology) has also been valued, as they result in less risk to health and value producers and rural workers in conventional and organic production systems. Santa Soja is a startup associated with USP/ESALQ and UNESP/Jaboticabal that has more than 30 elite strains in final trials of agronomic attributes for requesting protection registration. In this stage, it is intended to present the elite crope selected from these tests obtained in the soybean regions REC 201 (Londrina), REC 203 (Piracicaba), REC 302 (Jaboticabal), REC 301 (Uberlândia) and REC 401 to potential customers in the same regions . The main commercial strategy aims to serve companies that produce conventional seeds (seeds), such as cooperatives and/or seed multiplication industry that do not have a structure for genetic improvement. The work will be carried out with a view to increasing sales for these crops which, consequently, will increase our revenues due to the licensing of soybean crops. The entire distribution/technical assistance/after-sales channel will aim to serve this partnership, already well developed and used by the seedlings in the introduction of new crops in the market.
