Abstract

The objective of this project is the production of microreactors through the construction of microchannels by Additive Manufacturing (AM), aiming to produce Hydrogen from the steam reform of Ethanol. The development of microreactor technology comprises innovations in products with more significant technological advances promoting the emergence of new technologies revolutionizing some industrial segments, such as the production of clean energy from renewable sources, which contributes to the goals of sustainable development, SDG 7, with regard to different sources of energy that are more efficient and non-polluting. This project will be developed jointly with the research group of the Laboratory for Optimization, Design and Advanced Control (LOPCA), and is associated with the PITE projects, Fapesp Process 2008/06108-0 (LOPCA/PETROBRAS) DIRECT LASER METAL SINTERIZATION: DEVELOPMENT OF MICROREACTORS FOR THE UPGRADE OF HEAVY OIL, Thematic, Fapesp Process 2008/57873-8 (BIOEN/PRONEX/FAPESP), AN INTEGRATED PROCESS FOR TOTAL BIOETHANOL PRODUCTION AND ZERO CO2 EMISSIONS (AN INTEGRATED PROCESS FOR TOTAL BIOETHANOL PRODUCTION AND ZERO CO2 EMISSION) and Fapesp Thematic Project 2015/20630-4 Integrated Development of Biorefinery and Sugarcane Bioethanol Plant with Zero CO2 Emission: Routes to Convert Renewable Resources into Bioproducts and Bioelectricity (Integrated Development of Biorefinery and Sugarcane Bioethanol Plant with Zero CO2 Emission: routes to convert renewable resources into bioproducts and bio-electricity), aiming to use the Additive Manufacturing system (DMLS) acquired to manufacture devices with microchannels aimed at producing energy and products from renewable sources, in this case Ethanol. This project is part of the production of a product that is already PATENTED (LETTER PATENT No BR 102012032322-2). (AU)
