Abstract

The aim of this visit is to build on previous collaborative work between us on assessing experimental designs and formulating and performing linear mixed model analyses and set the path for future work. In particular, there are several strands of our joint work that we would like to develop, while at the same time exploring new avenues for collaborative work. The research Project will extend the treatment of longitudinal models in our previous joint papers. The short course to be taught jointly by Chris Brien, Renata A. Sermarini and Clarice G.B. Demétrio, will give us a chance to present results from our previous joint papers. The talk at RBras meeting will seek to highlight some of the key moments and contributions of ESALQ mirroring the development of biometry over the last 60 years, with some speculation as to what the future may hold. As well as attempting to tie up a number of previous areas of work, we would also work to identify additional aspects for further collaborative research. We are also interested in continuing with the articles currently under development that involve collaboration with researchers from another university. (AU)
