Abstract

The Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of São Paulo has a vocation not only for conducting basic and applied research in the health area, but also for innovation and biotechnology. The consolidation of this vocation is represented by the extensive scientific production of our community in concomitance with the training and continuous training of personnel associated with research activity at all levels, from scientific pre-initiation to post-doctoral studies. Our Institution is responsible for a considerable portion of the scientific intellectual production of the University of São Paulo, maintaining scientific collaboration and innovation agreements with public and private institutions, both national and international. The extension of our research activity and its dissemination requires continuous support in relation to the support infrastructure and the maintenance of spaces and equipment essential for carrying out these tasks. In this way, we have privileged collaboration and sharing of equipment, spaces and basic infrastructure, ensuring interaction between researchers and rationalization in the use of available resources. The present proposal intends to meet the needs of our Unit, considering not only the multi-user spaces, the facilities of specific techniques used by the entire community, as well as the vivariums. In this way, we can ensure the basic operating conditions of our unit in order to continue the research conducted here. (AU)
