Abstract
The demand for systems applied to quantum communication requires the ability to detect single photons. The bands available on the global fiber optic network where attenuation is minimal are known as B and C, sensitive in the spectral region of 1330 and 1550 nm. Therefore, to achieve the objective of developing new technologies for generating single photons in the C-band region, it is necessary to carry out experiments that require at least two detectors interconnected by a temporal correlation electronics. This project is, therefore, dedicated to the acquisition of two low-noise and efficient single-photon InGaAs detectors in the region of 900 to 1600 nm in conjunction with correlation electronics. This set of equipment will allow the detection of electromagnetic waves in this spectral range, meeting the demands of different groups working from materials physics to quantum optics and atomic physics.
