Abstract

Research into bicontinuous cubic phase nanostructured materials is expanding, especially as delivery systems for applications of bioactive agents in medicine. The functionalization of nanocarrier cubosomes by conjugation with pH-responsive biopolymers offers promising possibilities for oral drug delivery, driving a new generation of therapies especially against cancer. In this project we aim to progress in the development of hybrid cubosomes functionalized with biopolymers, producing them in a solid state in the form of lyophilized powder. The studies must advance the scientific aspects related to the production and characterization of the material, as well as provide the application improvement of the bioactive carrier system. (AU)
