Human resources training in Petroleum Geology - 43.1

Abstract

The fusion between the job market and academic research is necessary for the expansion and strengthening of human resources aimed at the technical, technological, and management needs of the complex Petroleum, Gas, Energy, and Biofuels industry. For this to occur, it is important to direct efforts towards providing scholarships to students. Through this incentive, it is expected that there will be no dropout from courses and that students can focus their attention on the productive chain in question. The agreement that will provide resources for the creation of the PRH can help reduce the shortage of professionals in the Petroleum, Gas, Energy, and Biofuels sector.Regarding the topics addressed in monographs, dissertations, and theses, these will be proposed considering the needs of the Petroleum, Gas, Energy, and Biofuels sector, seeking an approximation between the market and the academic sector. These topics can contribute to technological development and/or the study of solutions to a specific technical problem. The topics will aim to cover various thematic lines of the program's scope, such as the evolution of sedimentary basins and reservoir geology. Finally, regarding the benefits of knowledge generation, economic or social, the support for the proposal will allow the continuous improvement and updating of teachers and students, aiming at the creation of competencies in areas of interest to the Petroleum, Gas, Energy, and Biofuels sector. Additionally, it will serve as a means to strengthen the exchange and sharing of knowledge between educational institutions and the Petroleum, Gas, Energy, and Biofuels industry, allowing Petrobras to continue acting with social responsibility.
