Abstract

Located at the Engineering Center of the Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido (UFERSA), PRH-55.1 - Sustainable Strategies in the Oil, Gas and Biofuels Industry - involves 7 undergraduate courses, belonging to 3 different departments, the Department of Engineering and Environmental Sciences (Production Eng., Civil Eng., Agricultural and Environmental Eng.), Department of Engineering and Technology (Petroleum Eng., Chemical Eng. and Mechanical Eng.) and Department of Biosciences (Biotechnology ). In addition to undergraduate courses, the project has the Postgraduate Program in Soil and Water Management (PPGMSA) at UFERSA, which offers master's and doctoral courses. In total, the program has the participation of 24 professors - including the Visiting Researcher -, including collaborators, advisors, and members of the management committee.The title of the specialization offered by the program for graduation is Sustainable Strategies in the Oil, Gas, and Biofuels Industry. PPGMSA students linked to PRH-ANP will have the specialization entitled Soil and Water Management in the Oil, Gas, and Biofuels Industry. It is important to highlight that, based on the qualifications of its teaching staff, the program presents the following areas of research: Decarbonization, Nature-Based Solutions, Energy Transition, Circular Economy, and Reservoir Engineering.
