Abstract

The launch of Public Call No. 01/2018/PRH-ANP for the selection of new programs took place on December 14, 2018. In a new format, the program has the following participants (a) ANP - coordinator; (b) Finep - technical and financial manager, responsible for receiving the funds contributed by the oil companies, transferring them to the educational institutions selected in the public call and (b) Finep - Technical and financial manager responsible for receiving the funds contributed by the oil companies, passing them on to the educational institutions selected in the public call and managing the scholarships awarded; (c) Oil companies - These provide the financial resources, which come from the obligation to invest in the RD&I clause; and (d) Educational Institutions - selected after meeting the requirements of the public call, they are responsible for the effective implementation of the program, selecting the scholarship holders and receiving the funds from the Financial Manager (Finep) for investment in their training. UFES, via the Department of Engineering and Technology (DET/CEUNES) and with the Chemistry Graduate Program (PPGQUI/CCE), was awarded the proposal "Human Resources Training Program in Exploration and Production of Oil and Natural Gas from Carbonate Formations and Mature Fields", which falls under the exploration, development and production. Funding will begin in March 2020 for a period of 60 (sixty) months (five years). The project was formalized via an agreement signed on December 19, 2019, according to UFES digital process no. 23068.040064/2019-82, and published in the DOU on January 20, 2020. The total number of scholarships approved (per year) is: 08 undergraduate, 03 master's, 01 doctoral and 01 postdoctoral, as well as resources to absorb a coordinator, visiting researcher and technical support, in order to manage the project in synergy with the Steering Committee.
