Abstract

This research project is divided in four parts and its main purpose is to study the thermodynamics and efficiency of different classes of nanoscopic systems. In the first and second parts, we intend to study different systems described by master equations subject to different worksources as well as the statistics of power, efficiency and dissipation of systems operating collectively. Such part of the project is related to thematic project 2022/15453-0, entitled"Correlated quantum materials", headed by Eduardo Miranda (UNICAMP) and I am an associate researcher. In the third part, we intend to propose a thermodynamic description for systems in contact with different finite reservoirs.The fourth and final part of this project aims to study the thermodynamics and performance of different models for active matter. This is a relatively new area with few results in the literature. We intend to propose an "active" version for thesystem composed of interacting thermal machines, especially those investigated by me in previous references (AU)
