Abstract

PUC-Campinas currently has ten Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs, of which five include both Master's and Doctoral degrees, distributed across the institution's two campuses. Additionally, the university has forty-nine Research Groups certified in the CNPq Research Groups Directory, managing various research projects funded by institutions such as FAPESP, FINEP, and CNPq, among others. On campus II, there are located courses in the health area, including the Veterinary Clinic linked to the Veterinary Medicine course, PUC-Campinas Hospital, São Lucas Clinical Research Center, the Graduate Program in Health Sciences, and a Cellular Biotechnology Laboratory. This project presents a proposal for acquiring a ventilated rack for 35 mice, necessary for the setup of an experimental animal facility on Campus II of PUC-Campinas, in a space already designated and approved for this purpose. Animal research facility are facilities dedicated to the production and maintenance of laboratory animals, such as rats and mice, which are essential for supporting research projects in health, biological sciences, and technology. The initiative aims to expand and strengthen the institution's research infrastructure, ensuring that animal management conditions meet the highest quality standards. In addition to providing a controlled and replicable environment, the project will ensure proper care for the animals, which is crucial for obtaining consistent and reproducible results. This proposal is in compliance with the guidelines of the Technical Reserve / Institutional Infrastructure for Research from FAPESP, which supports the maintenance and enhancement of collective research support infrastructures.
