Installation of Structured Cabling for Network Infrastructure Modernization at IPEN

Abstract

This project aims to install structured cabling in the network infrastructure of the Nuclear and Energy Research Institute (IPEN). The scope includes the routing and installation of ducts and Cat.6 Ethernet cabling, as well as the installation of a 48-port PoE switch and a NoBreak to ensure service continuity. The execution will be carried out on IPEN premises, aiming to modernize and adapt the existing infrastructure to better meet the daily needs of data, voice, and image users. The need for this project arises from the increasing demand for a more robust and efficient network infrastructure at IPEN. With the growth in data traffic and the integration of new devices and technologies, it is essential that the infrastructure can support these changes without compromising performance. The installation of Cat.6 Ethernet cables and the use of a high-capacity PoE switch will ensure that IPEN's network can handle these demands efficiently and reliably.Furthermore, the installation of a 3KvA NoBreak will provide an uninterruptible power solution, crucial for service continuity in the event of electrical failures. This project will not only improve the management and maintenance capacity of the network but also provide greater security and stability for IPEN's operations. The modernization of the network infrastructure will enable IPEN to continue its research and development activities more effectively, maintaining excellence and innovation as its core principles.
