Adaptation of space for the creation of research laboratories: "Phytopathology and Agricultural Microbiology Laboratory" and "In vitro Cultivation Laboratory" of the School of Agricultural Sciences of Vale do Ribeira (FCAVR), Campus of Registro Vila Tupi.

Abstract

The proposal approved by FCAVR/Unesp for the use of RTI/FAPESP resources in 2024 covers two actions for the renovation and readjustment of spaces for the allocation of research laboratories, with Action 1 dealing with the "Phytopathology and Agricultural Microbiology Laboratory" and Action 2, the "In vitro Cultivation Laboratory". The readjustment of the space destined for the "Phytopathology and Agricultural Microbiology Laboratory" will allow the installation and use of equipment such as optical and stereoscopic microscopes, refrigerator, BOD chambers, autoclave, bacteriological cabinet incubator, among others that are necessary for research activities. The readjustment of the space destined for the "In vitro Cultivation Laboratory" will allow the installation and use of BOD chambers, laminar air flow chamber, water purifier, drying ovens and other small benchtop equipment, such as precision scales and pH meters. Both actions will ensure that the spaces are used by professors, graduate students and scientific initiation scholarship holders of FCAVR/Unesp who are conducting research in these areas of knowledge. The proposal must be implemented within six months, starting from the date of signing the FAPESP grant agreement. Its implementation will be essential for promoting important scientific investigations in strategic areas of Agricultural Sciences. (AU)
