Abstract

The goal of the visit is to strengthen the collaboration between the theoretical particle physics group at USP and Dr. Kling, focusing on the search for long-lived particles, including dark photons and inelastic dark matter. This will include integrating new predictions for dark photon production and decays into the FORESEE simulation package, adding inelastic dark matter models to the FORESEE library, and investigating new production mechanisms for light particles in parton showers, with plans for a dedicated publication. Additionally, Dr. Kling will give graduate level lectures on dark matter, introducing its existence, theoretical models, and search strategies. (AU)
