Abstract

The project concerns the study, translation and documentation of Amerindian verbal arts from the lowlands of South America. It aims to relate this field of study to general ethnographic research with various indigenous communities, such as the Marubo, Kotiria, Baniwa, Terena, Kadiweu, Ka'apor, Maxakali and Yukuna. The project aims to investigate the intersemiotic relations involved in the execution and production of verbal and visual arts, with a view to issues related to documentation and politics of patrimony.
