Abstract

This proposal is about the technological validation of the Extremus Integra solution in a relevant environment with the partner manufacturer. The Extremus Integra solution is an intelligent surface that, when used in implants, is capable of promoting its biological integration more quickly in the patient's body, and a manufacturer of medical devices recognized in the market, with the capacity and interest in validating the proposal and potential to become the first customer. Extremus produces in its facilities, effectively and in a safe, reliable and reproducible manner, the Extremus Integra solution for endoprosthesis and the mapping and control of these parameters are fundamental to guarantee the robustness of the process and the adequacy of performance in accordance with Extremus standards for the partnership company's cardiovascular product. The manufacturer will produce components for one of its products, the endovascular implantable device (stent), Extremus will carry out the treatments to manufacture the Extremus Integra surface and implant manufacturer will assemble the stents with these devices. The components will be collected opportunely throughout the proposal execution period to characterize the surfaces produced, and both components and endoprosthesis will be evaluated for mechanical performance and biocompatibility tests, in accordance with Braile's internal procedures and ANVISA protocols. It is expected that the results obtained will support the technical feasibility of entering the product into the market. (AU)
