Exploring New Frontiers in Acoustic Metamaterials

Abstract

This research project focuses on the development and application of acoustic metamaterials for wave manipulation and noise control. The study explores time-varying structures and active control techniques, integrating theoretical modeling, numerical simulations, and experimental validation.During the research stay at UNICAMP, the visiting researcher will collaborate on funded research projects, engaging in theoretical and experimental investigations of acoustic metamaterials. The work will include dynamic modulation techniques to enhance wave control mechanisms and contribute to new methodologies in metamaterials research.Key activities will involve collaborations with faculty and researchers, participation in seminars and discussions, and knowledge transfer through student training and advisory roles. The visit aims to strengthen international scientific collaboration, leading to joint publications and potential industrial applications. The expected impact of this project includes advancements in time-varying metamaterials, new strategies for acoustic wave control, and long-term collaborations between UNICAMP and international institutions.
