Abstract

Considering the technical profile of this Fapesp funding modality, this application plan was prepared by the Information Technology Division - DTI and provides for the acquisition of equipment to compose the main "Data Center" of PUC-SP, located on the Consolação campus, which concentrates all internal access connectivity across the various campuses and units of the University.The DTI clarifies that some of the equipment present in the University's "Data Center" is technically outdated and which, due to the increase in data processing demand, especially after the pandemic, the University's servers would be operating within their maximum usage limit, resulting in a bottleneck of current access demand. In this sense, the acquisition of the suggested equipment will enable the University to expand its computational processing capacity, as well as updating technical requirements of security and performance of the "Data Center".
