Abstract

The ongoing research project "Cartography of cinematographic affections in the early childhood education school - between recording and art, between the human and the non-human" [2021/11398-1] is an offshoot of the research and extension project "School place and cinema: affections and mutual metamorphoses", which was supported by Fapesp in the Public Education line [2018/09258-4] and had six EP scholarship holders for two and a half years, who dedicated themselves to producing and thinking about cinema in early childhood education schools from different axes of view. This experience was extremely powerful for the professional appreciation of the scholarship holders-professionals in public education and for the greater involvement of the two schools in the activities of cinema and the film club established there. Its results can be seen on the Cineclube Regente/Cha channel and read in the more than twenty articles, book chapters and ebooks published by these scholarship holders. In the wake of this experience, and in view of the interest and involvement of several professionals from the schools where the current research is being conducted - CEI Bety Pierro and CEI Benjamin Constant - we decided to submit this project to more effectively engage these professionals in experimenting with cinema in early childhood education, providing opportunities for the creation and maintenance of school film clubs, as well as the production of written and audiovisual materials to disseminate what we have been experimenting with. This is an unfolding of the very perspective of the invention of the common through cinema and the "pedagogy of devices" that are supported by recent studies and experiments on/with "group cinema" carried out by Cézar Migliorin and other members of Kumã-Laboratory of Research and Experimentation in Image and Sound/UFF, and by members of the Laboratory of Audiovisual Studies-OLHO/Unicamp, both in undergraduate and graduate education and in research and extension projects with the Cinema and Education Program/SME-Campinas. In these experiences, we also rely on the propositions of Doreen Massey and Fernand Deligny on the life/vividness of non-human trajectories/presences in the place/environment, as well as expanding the study and conceptual use of Amerindian philosophies - especially the ideas to postpone the end of the world present in the speeches and writings of Ailton Krenak and the ideas to avoid the fall of the sky present in the propositions of Davi Kopenawa - to think about the "cinematic affects" of non-human trajectories that also make up the territories of the common, in this case the school-places, being crossed by the concept of the unwalling of childhood, as proposed by Léa Tiriba and experienced in the two schools in which the current research is developed. In the project now proposed, given the presence of school professionals, "pedagogical documentation in early childhood education" gains centrality, a field that points to intriguing connections between records and art in the proliferation of new educational practices, teachers and students, at this stage of basic education.
