Abstract

This project has as a central theme the orbital dynamics of systems with small bodies. It will be made studies from fundamental questions, such as the collision phenomena and the development of the gravitational potential of small natural bodies (which, in general, are highly irregular), passing through studies of the orbital evolution of small bodies under different perturbative forces, up to various relevant applications in astrodynamics (orbital evolution of artificial satellites and space probes, orbital maneuvers, evolution of space debris, space missions to explore asteroids, among others) and in planetary dynamics (origin and formation of planetary systems, of asteroid groups, and orbital evolution of planetary ring systems and proto-planetary discs, among others).
