Abstract Currently, there is a growing interest in space missions of spacecrafts seeking to approach small bodies such as asteroids and comets (Kikuchi S.; Tsuda Y. and Kawaguchi, 2016). There are many important aspects in these missions, such as scientific research of these bodies, which keep characteristics of the formation of the solar system. Believing in the scientific and economic return of such space exploration, we propose studies to collaborate in carrying out missions for small body systems, a topic of great academic interest and with large potential for applications. It is intended to seek methods and models to calculate spatial trajectories around the Lagrangian points of a multiple system of asteroids. It is intended to take into account the non-spherical form of both primary bodies, their distribution of mass, size, rotation of the asteroids around their own axis and, if feasible, to include the albedo of the primary. After determining the locations of the equilibrium points, comes the main point of the work proposed here, which is finding families of orbits around the equilibrium point. Besides that, trajectories for orbital transfers between these orbits around the equilibrium points will be searched, spending as little energy as possible. It is also proposed by the applicant to find orbits around asteroids called "Delta-V Assisted Periodic Orbits" (DVAPOs). This type of periodic orbit use an impulsive maneuver in each orbital period. This periodic increase of velocity makes a quasi-periodic orbit to become a periodic orbit (Kikuchi and Tsuda, 2014). (AU) | |
