Abstract

This project aims to develop advanced models for the aging and operational performance of alkaline electrolyzers, integrating real-time data collection from a pilot electrolyzer to be installed at UNICAMP. By monitoring operational parameters, such as current, voltage, and temperature, we will create a predictive aging model to evaluate component lifespan and system degradation under fluctuating energy inputs. Furthermore, an electrolyzer will also be installed at THI, where project researchers will participate in the commissioning, data collection, and analysis of this electrolyzer. A Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCoH) model will be developed to optimize the economic feasibility of green hydrogen production. Moreover, a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) will evaluate environmental impacts, including CO¿ emissions reductions, resource consumption, and human health implications. (AU)
