PRH48.1 - CHARACTERIZATION AND SIMULATION OF RESERVOIRS, RENEWABLE ENERGIES AND ENVIRONMENTAL BIOTECHNOLOGY

Abstract

PRH 48.1 - Characterization and Simulation of Reservoirs, Renewable Energies and Environmental Biotechnology, was approved by ANP in 2019, based on public call nº 01/2018/PRH-ANP. The program has a consolidated multidisciplinary training built from the various expertise of the project's professors/researchers. The group of students and professors develop integrated training activities with projects in various areas of the oil and energy sector. The program involves the specialization of undergraduate and graduate students from the Departments of Nuclear Energy (DEN), Civil and Environmental Engineering (DECIV), Mechanical Engineering (DEMEC) and Geology (DGEO) of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). The following UFPE Graduate Programs are also part of PRH 48.1: Civil Engineering (PPGEC); Mechanical Engineering (PPGEM); Geosciences (PPGeoc) and Energy and Nuclear Technology (PROTEN). The main areas of activity of PRH 48.1 are: Biomass and Biofuels; Environmental Biotechnology; Green Hydrogen, Solar and Wind Energy; Petroleum Geology, Geoenergy and Geological Storage; Computational Methods in Geomechanics; Applied Numerical Simulation / Flows in Porous Media; X-ray and Gamma Tomography Applied to Porous Media. The integration of departments and researchers from important technical areas for the energy sector gives the program a comprehensive training scope in areas of growing demand for training in the current context of transformation to a low-carbon energy sector.
