RH-ANP 55.1 - Institutional Program for Human Resources Training in Sustainability in the Oil, Natural Gas, Biofuels, and Renewable Energy Industry

Abstract

This proposal aims to ensure the continuity of PRH-ANP 55.1, one of the six best programs within PRH-ANP, according to the most recent evaluation conducted in 2024. The program involves eight undergraduate courses in engineering and agronomy, as well as the Graduate Program in Soil and Water Management at the Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid Region (UFERSA). Leveraging the consolidated expertise of the researchers involved, PRH-ANP 55.1 emphasizes areas such as Energy Transition, Nature-Based Solutions, Circular Economy, Reservoir Engineering, and Carbon Capture, Storage, and Utilization. Given the increasing commitment of energy sector companies to reducing their carbon footprint-whether through the adoption of renewable energy sources, process optimization, or the acquisition of carbon credits-the training provided by PRH-ANP 55.1 proves to be highly strategic. In addition to directly benefiting companies in Rio Grande do Norte, the program also contributes to the development of qualified professionals to meet the demands of the energy sector across Brazil and in the global market.
