Abstract

In today's world, the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle and body transformation is increasingly common. However, tracking and assessing progress in these journeys can be challenging, especially considering the diversity of approaches and professionals involved. It is in this context that a comprehensive platform for tracking these journeys becomes necessary. In this project, we present the B-You Platform as a solution to fill this market gap.According to recent research, the market for aesthetic procedures in Brazil grew by 5.8% in 2020, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, the health, beauty, and wellness sector recorded a revenue of R$ 34.2 billion in 2019. These figures highlight the growing demand for services related to wellness, aesthetics, and body care.A platform focused on wellness that enables tracking body transformation journeys should provide comprehensive and specific support for the needs of each client through features such as precise and easy image comparison, image standardization over time, and reliable extraction of anthropometric measurements. Image comparison is an effective way to visualize progress achieved during a body transformation journey, allowing professionals to identify specific changes and objectively evaluate results. Image standardization over time is crucial to ensure the accuracy and reliability of comparisons. Meanwhile, the extraction of standardized anthropometric measurements helps assess progress and align treatments, exercises, and nutritional plans.Additionally, during the execution of PIPE Phase 1, based on interviews conducted throughout the PIPE Empreendedor program, we identified other market pain points:- Lack of standardization in user/camera positioning during photo capture for journey tracking, leading to errors and misinterpretation of results over time.- Lack of standardization in the distance from which photos are captured, introducing noise in the data and reducing the accuracy of anthropometric measurements.- The potential use of a tool that provides precise anthropometric measurements with minimal effort from users can be applied to activities such as occupational safety to monitor employee wellness, as well as in the retail clothing market to offer greater convenience to customers and reduce the return rate due to incorrect sizing. Therefore, in this project, we propose the B-You Platform, an intelligent platform capable of providing tools for precise and easy image comparison, along with the standardization and extraction of anthropometric measurements, making it a powerful ally for professionals involved in the wellness process. With it, it is possible to optimize the tracking and analysis of results, providing a solid foundation for decision-making based on concrete data. Thus, professionals can further personalize the care provided, promoting more effective and satisfactory results for their clients. (AU)
