Mapping Tools for Academic Management of Multidisciplinary Research Projects

Abstract

This project aims to map and analyze tools and methodologies for the efficient management of multidisciplinary research projects in an academic setting, with a focus on the Multidisciplinary Center for Strategy, Research, and Innovation of the São Paulo State Attorney General's Office (CeMEPI-PGE). The inherent complexity of projects involving multiple knowledge areas requires adaptable management strategies capable of integrating diverse perspectives and optimizing collaborative processes. The scholarship recipient will conduct a diagnostic assessment of CeMEPI-PGE's needs, identifying specific challenges in coordinating multidisciplinary projects. Next, they will perform a systematic survey of management tools (such as Trello, Notion, Asana, and Microsoft Project) and methodologies (such as agile approaches and standardized protocols), evaluating their applicability in an academic context. Validation will include pilot testing, feedback from involved researchers, and continuous adjustments to ensure alignment with real-world demands.Expected outcomes include the development of a set of tailored best practices and protocols for the Center, as well as a scientific article systematizing the project's experiences and contributions. The initiative will not only strengthen CeMEPI-PGE's management capabilities but also generate transferable knowledge for other institutions facing similar challenges. (AU)
