Abstract

This project consists of a transversal serological inquiry, associated with a survey of practices of risk behavior for the acquisition of HIV in a representative sample of undergraduate students in day courses on the São Paulo USP campus. These procedures will be repeated after a year, with a program of intervention being initiated immediately. This will be evaluated by a new transversal inquiry a year after its commencement. The objective is to evaluate the factors related to the dynamic of the transmission of HIV in this population. Statistical and mathematical techniques will be used to estimate risk factors and quantifiers of the intensity of transmission, as well as for evaluation of the impact of the intervention strategy proposed.
