Abstract

This project seeks to investigate the physiological and physiopathological implications of "cross talk” between signal transmission paths for three hormones: insulin AII and GH. The cytoplasmatic proteins IRS-1 and JAK-2 are essences in these connections and we intend to investigate interactions between these proteins in animal models and cell culture, after infusion of these hormones, simulating physiopathological situations with important clinical implications.
