Abstract
The project entitled From Ireland to Brazil: critical texts is an integrated research to be developed by professors and scholars from four brazilian universities: Munira H. Mutran e Laura Izarra - University of São Paulo (USP); Noélia Borges de Araújo - Federal University of Bahia (UFBA); Luci Collin Lavalle - Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and Heleno Godói - Federal University of Goiás (UFGO); one master and three doctors graduated at the postgraduate Programme of studs linguistics e Literary in English at USP, three postgraduate students and two academic technicians. This project focuses on two moments of the lrish Literary Renaissance in the turn of the nineteenth century and the twentieth century. Its aim is to examine different critical trends in fiction, drama and poetry developed by important Irish writers and critics and those trends present in the cultural diaspora in order to select the aesthetic elements that could renew the literary critical debate in Brazil. The relevant material will be translated and published as an anthology and thematic books. (AU)
