Abstract
The need to control and eliminate the principal viruses that attack citrics in the state of São Paulo, has meant that new diagnostic methods, associated with traditional biological indexing, have been implemented. Associated with the identification of a virus in a clone of interest, this offers the possibility of its elimination through the process of micro-grafting. With the aim in this way of implanting methods of biological, immunological and molecular indexing for Tristeza, Sorosis, Xyloporosis and Exocortis, as well as the cleaning of clones via micro-grafting, the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Estação de Limeira is initiating its activities.
