Generative syntax of Brazilian Portuguese at the dawn of the 21st Century: minimalism and interfaces

Abstract

Adopting the theoretical perspective of the Minimalist Program (Chomsky 1995, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005a, 2005b), the goal of this project is to investigate the mapping between the syntactic component, on the one hand, and the morphological, phonological and semantic components, on the other, based on the syntactic properties of Brazilian Portuguese.
