Abstract

This concerns the development of an integrated thematic project aimed at the generation of data for the elaboration of a Brazilian norm for the design of wood structures in the light of limit state method. Its implementation is envisaged in three stages dealing with: wood as a structural material, the union of the structural elements of wood and the wood structures. Themes related to the subject will be studied by professors from the Polytechnic School and School of Engineering in São Carlos, both part of USP, as well as by doctoral candidates supervised by them.
