Abstract

The UNICAMP blood center has developed, in its various laboratories, numerous projects on various aspects involving pathogenesis, physiopathology and variability of clinical expression and response to the treatment of different malignant hemopathies. The present project aims to study in an integrated manner, in the same patients, a variety of these factors to evaluate their interaction. So, we will study polymorphisms which predispose to the appearance of severe leukemias and myeloproliferating syndromes and their relation to the phenotypic and clinical expression of the disease. We will also study the physiopathology of GVHD in these patients after transplant of allogeneic bone marrow transplants. (AU)
